Multi tasking for beginners (level1 of 3)
Any task which you perform doesn't require your full concentration. it requires concentration only once in a while
each task would require your complete focus for a few minutes or seconds ,then there would be a wait time ,after which you would have to focus again.
for example ,
Hypothetical Effort breakdown for Laundry : (when you do laundry or washing clothes)
Task 1 : identify the soiled clothes (time taken 5 minutes)
Task2 : put clothes and detergent in the laundry machine and push start button (time taken 5 minutes)
Task3: wait for few minutes (time taken 45 minutes)
Task4: after the washing is complete. remove the clothes from the machine (time taken 5 minutes)
Total time taken is 60 minutes
out of 60 minutes ,40 odd minutes are spent in waiting,20 minutes require your full attention
this 40 idle minutes can be used for performing another task
Any task you do is similar ,
Let us suppose a person can work for 12 hours a day
Assuming each task takes 1 hour on average
then you can perform 12 tasks in a day,
but if you carefully use the minutes spent waiting you can perform 24 tasks in a day
24 tasks is equivalent to 24 hours of work (performed by a single person)
So each person has a bandwidth of 24 hours (or tasks hours) per day ππ
Best practice :
Allot time as specified below:
Time(task hours) Type of task
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8 hours perform tasks which give immediate results π΅π² (like a full time job/business)
4 hours perform tasks which give long term results [ have a 5 year plan]
4 hours perform tasks which are transcendental in nature [example prayer, meditation, yoga chanting,listen/read devotional works]
8 hours perform whatever you wish [ recreational tasks like watch movie/TV ,read books ,spend time with family etc ]
for example Watch movie during idle times
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A person can perform a maximum of 125 hours (or task hours) in a day
(using advanced time management techniques)
For example ,
Car manufacturers can manufacture a new car every few minutes
